1990 Star Pics

Star Pics, a Michigan-based company, released this first set of pre-NBA / post-college cards in August of 1990. The 70-card boxed set was refused a license by the NBA, but Star Pics contacted each player for permission to be included in the set. Star Pics also created a “Medallion” set with the same design that was individually-numbered to 25,000 copies.
