1986 Merchante Campeonato de Liga 86-87

This year’s album from Merchante keeps the format of the predecessors. All Spanish league teams are present but the last pages of the album are dedicated to the best players of the “Mundobasket” Basketball World Cup and two special pages with the best NBA players of that season. Most cards depict an action photo on the lower-half of the card, with a smal player portrait on the top surrounded by their team's national flag. There are several NBA All-Star cards with a similar design except for replacing the flag with an NBA logo along with adding a border of red and white stars around the photo. At the very end of the set, there are several cards depicting illustrations of referees demonstrating various hand-gestures for fouls and other regulations. MacGregor and Converse both sponsored the set, so the backs contain two different designs featuring these sponsors.
