Every Monday for about two years starting in 1983, the Wichita Eagle-Beacon newspaper printed these cut-out “cards'' in their Monday sports section. Three cards were printed in each paper, featuring athletes from different popular American sports. This category of ‘card’ is often referred to as “bubblegum-less cards.”
