This 50-card set was produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. This was the first year that Women's basketball was introduced to the Olympic program. The United States won the gold against Yugoslavia in the men's tournament, while the Soviet Union won the gold medal against the United States in the women's competition. There are just 2 basketball cards in the set.
