Country of origin: Italy
Size: 3-3/8" x 2-1/2"
The images for this set has been shared with us from the collection of Retro Baloncesto. The Lampo Magico Cards set were similar to the Fher 3-D cards released the same year in Spain, meant to give a dimensional effect when looked at with blue and red 3-D glasses. The Lampo set had more 3-D cards, and also included small "booklet" cards with front and back images that would open up and have a story about the subject sport (more on that below). The Lampo album is rarer than the Fher album and it's cards and caricatures featured many Italian athletes with text in Italian vs the Spanish athletes and Spanish text of the Fher release. The image on the Lampo Harlem Globetrotters card is the same, with what appears to be Goose Tatum with the basketball. Distinct differences of this Lampo version is that the card is not numbered, has a black decorative border, is 3/8" wider than the Fher release, and is much more rare.
